West Virginia UniversityVice Provost Paul Kreider, a seasoned administrator and innovative academic leader, has been named interim campus president of WVU Potomac State College, effective March 16. The appointment follows Keyser Campus President Chris Gilmer’s resignation, which he announced during a late January Faculty Assembly meeting. Gilmer will serve as campus president through March 15.
Kreider, who joined WVU as dean of the College of Creative Arts in July 2011, became associate provost for undergraduate education in 2017 and was named vice provost in 2019. In his role as vice provost, Kreider manages the strategic direction of education throughout the WVU System, including Potomac State College.
PSC Student Jennifer Dietz was recently presented with the Catamounts Climb Higher
award by Campus President Chris Gilmer, at West Virginia University Potomac State
College. Dietz is a business management major from Ridgeley, W.Va.
Alexandrea Kile from Capon Bridge, W.Va., will graduate this
spring with an associate degree in computer information systems. Kile was
